Already well known for their market leading styles and taking the lead in bringing innovative ideas to the furniture market Pinetum are very proud to announce the launch of their new Q2 range of furniture. Dean Robbins, MD of Pinetum and the designer of Q2 introduces the new range;“As 2008 draws to a close we are now focusing our attention on what will be a very special year for us here at Pinetum. 2009 will mark our 20th anniversary of manufacturing furniture in the UK and to celebrate this occasion we have planned a succession of new product launches for next year. Collections that will present new exciting products through the use of new materials and innovative designs. To start, we would like to introduce you to our most innovative collection of furniture since the launch of Quercus in 2001. Welcome to Q2.
Q2’s new “frameless” design brings a fresh and contemporary look to oak bedroom furniture.Using a mix of solid oak fascias and oak veneered sides, Q2 uses innovative and clever features such as “split” drawer fronts to give the appearance of a “+2” look but which when opened are one complete drawer with a fixed internal divider. This design and style of is incorporated into all pieces of furniture no matter how large or small. The innovative new idea of “Mirror Imaging” is also introduced due to the positioning of the handles on the products in the range allowing the creation of of a very symmetrical look to the furniture and producing “matched pairs” of twinned products such as bedsides.This complete yet compact bedroom range also carries other great new ideas such as the introduction of the new “Gentleman’s Chest” which on first inspection looks like a substantial but straightforward, 8-drawer chest. However push the left hand door and the new spring-catch closure system will reveal a solid door behind which is ample space to hang shirts, jackets and suits. The right hand drawers are just that – a 5 drawer chest for the gentlemen to finally claim back some personal space from the lady of the house!
